Last month, we launched our first mobile app for iOS and Android!
We worked with our client, Cardinal Community School District, to create the app to meet their growing communication needs. The Cardinal Comets app gives parents, students, and staff members simplified mobile access to their district directory, news, events, and school notifications and alerts.
Parents using the app can quickly find contact information for teachers, coaches, counselors, and other Cardinal staff members. The news feature provides app users with Cardinal’s latest feature stories and announcements in an easier to read and browse format for mobile devices. With the calendar section, users have more convenient access to view upcoming school events such as games, holidays, club meetings, and more. An alerts section gives users the ability to see announcements that have been sent out via the school’s website and the app.

The app is integrated with our content management system, Neapolitan Labs for Education, which houses Cardinal’s website content. The two work seamlessly together to provide a consistent platform for the Cardinal community. If the website directory is updated, the app’s directory is updated as well. Any news or events added to the website are pulled to the app. Push notifications can be sent from the Neapolitan Labs for Education platform to the app’s users, making it convenient for school staff members to write up the alerts and share links.
