Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of launching a brand new website for United Community School District (CSD) in Boone County, Iowa.
Part of United CSD’s mission is to provide a student-centered educational community. We wanted to bring that same principle to life on their website by making it effortless for students and their families to find forms, contact staff, and keep up to date on upcoming events and district news.
We worked with the district’s administrative and technology teams to create a website that met their needs: a user-friendly interface for website visitors on all devices, a modern design, and the ability to easily edit and update site content.

Key features of the new website include homepage quick links of popular website pages, visual staff and school board directories, a virtual blue folder, and a private staff page to access human resources documents. To share their district story, each page on the site also features a randomized testimonial from a United student.
United staff can edit site content at any time through our Neapolitan Labs for Education platform, including creating new pages for the site, adding videos or images, updating staff information, and more.
The Virtual Blue Folder is filterable by type of content.

In addition, the design of the website makes it simple for parents to access PaySchools and PowerSchool through the topmost navigation bar, along with United’s Facebook page and contact information. A custom map at the bottom of the homepage helps prospective parents picture the district’s exact location while providing links to a boundary map and Google Maps driving directions.
We are excited to see how the new site serves current parents and families and how it helps prospective families understand the school culture and its benefits.

Parents can find what they need quickly and easily. Board members know exactly where to go to find board information.
